Stop comparing yourself to others.

Comparing yourself to others is one of the reason behind you feel bad about yourself.

You see what others are doing on social media, at work, and on television, and compare yourself unfavorably with these folks.

These comparisons are the path to unhappiness. They make you feel inferior and jealous. They cause you to feel stress, anxiety, and depression.

Things always look better from outside than they do from inside.

You have different strengths and different weaknesses. By comparing yourself to others, you are trying to take the things that make you special and unique and remove them away.

Comparison don’t leave room for things that makes you different from others. Accept where you are, and compare yourself to where you were last month.

Just focus on what you have and invest your time and energy to make your life better.

Success begins the moment … you start focus on your goals and yourself.

We are all special the way we are.

Yes, success is putting two fingers up to convention. Who cares about the world’s 10,000 things. The Taoists have got it right. I’m almost there, philosophically speaking. It’s a question of letting go.

I think a lot of times we unnaturally focus on others to take the pressure off ourselves out of laziness and FEAR..its much easier to express our emotions from an ego unattached advantage than to have to go within to fix our own shit because that takes actual work, patience, dedication and is the most awkward discomforting temporary place to be..so we continue to compare and self sabotage as a ploy for more space between our mind body and spirit.. your post is a beautiful reminder!!! ❤

Yesss..true words, infact comparison leads you to destruction most of the time because while comparing with others we used to keep focus only on our negatives & others positive.

Success is outcome of alignment of vision, mission, goals backed by actions. Inertia, inactivity, laziness, lethargy, expecting others to deliver on a platter while we lord over others – is a no no!

Beautifully said! Focusing on what we have is most important and we should never compare ourselves to others. Staying completely focused on our life is the only way to live and we never really know what those we are trying to compare ourselves to is really dealing with on the inside.

Yes! On social media, even on wordpress, people are showing their best sides, showing the great things that they are doing. They won’t show the bad things, only the good. It makes people feel bad about themselves and think that they aren’t doing anything fun, and they are the only ones. People look at social media and think how bad their life is.
    Amazing post!

This has been one of the hardest lessons for me to learn. We all have different paths, and progress along them at different speeds. But as you said in your most recent post, many people can’t accept that: they try to force us to follow the ‘standard’ road. As we grow up and our socialized into our respective cultures, many of us internalize other people’s expectations and come to believe that we’re doing something wrong if we don’t live up to them.

You’re right! We are each unique! We have complementary gifts, skills and talents. And so, we are needed by each other. As opposed to competing with each other. So, by helping each other we end up helping ourselves. And we can encourage and praise each other because they are being the best “them” they can be and I can feel good about myself because I am being the best “me” I can be. And “me” and “them” are unique, separate, and non-comparable entities.

    Great Post Mahee! (sp?)
