-A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …. enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own even if she never wants to or needs to…

-A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …. something perfect to wear if the employer or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour…

-A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE … a youth she’s content to leave behind….

-A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …. a past juicy enough that she’s looking forward to retelling it in her old age….

-A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …. one friend who always makes her laugh… and one who lets her cry…

-A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE …. a feeling of control over her destiny…

-EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW… how to fall in love without losing herself..

-EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW… how to quit a job, breakup with a lover, and confront a friend without ruining the friendship…

-EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW… when to try harder… and WHEN TO WALK AWAY…

-EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW… that she can’t change the length of her calves, the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents..

-EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW… that her childhood may not have been perfect…but it’s over…

-EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW… what she would and wouldn’t do for love or more…

-EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW… how to live alone… even if she doesn’t like it…

-EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW… whom she can trust, whom she can’t, and why she shouldn’t take it personally…

-EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW… where to go… be it to her best friend’s kitchen table… or a charming inn in the woods… when her soul needs soothing…

-EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW… what she can and can’t accomplish in a day… a month…and a year

    O.K, don’t get mad.
I think a woman “should” but is also different than “can”.
The word “should” suggest that you are entitle to. And in society nobody is entitle to anything in my opinion, if you want something you work your asss of so that means you “can” get what you want, hence that gives the woman more power.

Holy, I made sense today, I’m just like Einstein…..love ya, nice meeting you, looking forward with more time to read more of your blog.

By the way when I say “love ya” I say it to man and women, just my silly thing, so don’t take it too serious and if you don’t like it just tell me and I will refrain from saying it to you. But I think is kind of cozy, a little bond.

I enjoy the phrase, ‘enough money within her control to’…

It doesn’t say, in the bank, and we tend to look at that instead of outside ourselves. Within your control could be asking for a loan, selling things you don’t need, borrowing money from a friend or family member…anything necessary to leave an unhealthy situation, and move on toward beauty. xx

I love what you’ve written, and would love every woman to have all of those things, but at the same time, you’re not being very inclusive – do men not deserve all of those things too? To quote Pete Shelley, ‘we’re homo-sapien too’.

this reminds me of a meme that I can’t seem to find.

“You know you’re an adult when you understand what Gabriella was writing on the board in Highschool Musical.”

    “Then I guess I’m still a child.”

    here is the scene-

I’m still a child as well since I don’t know the math problem she wrote and I don’t have the first two lines of this poem. (last week I went to a job interview in a sundress….) lol 😛
